Cycling joy meets glove passion as Hestra, one of the world’s leading glove brands for sports, fashion and professional use, steps in as one of the partners to Team Serneke Allebike.

The two West Swedish family business unite and they’re both very excited to see what the future will hold as well as the opportunity to develop together. Emil Lindgren, who in addition to his own highly active cycling career is involved on several levels within the team, was the one who first came in contact with Hestra.

“From the very first meeting, we realised that we shared many views and values. We are both family businesses, we have a strong belief in what we do, and even though we operate from different small towns, we both want to be world players with strong products. We are very excited about this," says Emil Lindgren.

He continues to explain how Allebike handpicks their partners, there must be a consensus on both friendship and business acumen.

Hestra is currently run by the third and fourth generations of Magnusson and produces 2.2 million gloves every year in five factories. Design and development take place at the head office in Hestra, Småland, and Hestra purchases all materials they self to ensure high quality. Several of the company's models are handmade by Europe's most experienced glove makers.

The new collaboration means that Hestra will provide support to the team, thus helping to give new talents the chance to further invest in their sport. At the same time, the goal is to collaborate on product development and utilize the experience of the competitive cyclists to develop highly functional gloves. This is a working model that has already been tested by Hestra.

”Cycling is our fastest growing product area next to skiing and we have worked with cyclists in the development of the existing collection. With the Allebike cyclists, we can further strengthen our development work. We have worked with national teams and top athletes in skiing for many years, and now we can do the same in cycling” says Jeanette Arvidsson, Marketing Manager at Hestra.
”We’re incredibly happy and proud of this. It needs to be genuinely good business and people when we do a collaboration, and Allebike is an incredibly exciting company that I think has just begun its development journey. I look forward to all the good things we can do together in the future,” says Jeanette as she is explaining that the company have had their eyes at Allebike for quite a while.

To kick things off, Allebike and Hestra have released a special edition of the Ventair Long model, a light and breathable glove for both road and trail cycling. Another plan is to organize a cycling event, and the first is scheduled to take place in Gothenburg at the end of Augusti (more info to come!)
